2027 Basic Swat (40-Hour)

This comprehensive training provides an introduction to tactical skills. Participants will be introduced to basic SWAT topics, tactics and techniques including a historical overview of SWAT, team organization and structure, resolution of barricaded suspect situations, covert individual and team movement, searches and room clearing, chemical agents, less-lethal options, warrant service and multiple field training exercises. This is a hands-on course in which students practice tactics and techniques in the field as well as in the classroom.

MONDAY-FRIDAY 0800-1700. Training sessions will take place between the NTC Merrill campus, NTC Wausau campus, and the Marathon County Sheriff’s Range. Training is limited to 20 seats.

Full SWAT kit, 500 rds handgun, 1000 rds rifle. Lunches will be on your own.
